How to Play FreeCell
FreeCell is a solitaire card game where nearly every deal is solvable with perfect play. All 52 cards are dealt face-up into 8 tableau columns, giving you complete information. Four "free cells" serve as temporary storage for single cards. The goal is to move all cards to four foundation piles, building each suit from Ace to King.
How to Play
Click a card to select it, then click a destination. Tableau columns build down in alternating colors (black on red, red on black). Only the top card of each column is movable, but you can move sequences if enough free cells and empty columns are available. Free cells hold one card each. Foundations build up by suit from Ace.
Strategy
- Keep free cells open. Each occupied free cell reduces your ability to move sequences.
- Empty columns are even more valuable. They function like free cells but can hold sequences.
- Plan ahead. With all cards visible, you can plan moves in advance. Look for buried Aces.
- Uncover Aces and Twos early. Getting them to foundations quickly frees space.
FAQ
Is every FreeCell game solvable?
