How to Play Word Guess
Word Guess is a five-letter word puzzle where you have six attempts to guess a hidden word. After each guess, the tiles change color: green means the letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but in a different spot, and gray means the letter isn't in the word at all. Use these clues to narrow down possibilities and find the answer.
How to Play
Type a 5-letter word and press Enter. Each guess must be a valid word. After submitting, tiles flip to reveal color clues. Green = right letter, right position. Yellow = right letter, wrong position. Gray = letter not in word. The on-screen keyboard also updates to track which letters you've used.
Daily mode gives everyone the same word each day. Random mode lets you play unlimited puzzles.
Strategy
- Start with vowel-rich words. "CRANE," "SLATE," and "AUDIO" are strong openers that test common letters.
- Eliminate letters quickly. Use different letters in your first two guesses to test as many as possible.
- Pay attention to yellow clues. A yellow letter tells you both that the letter is in the word AND that it's not in that position.
